First and foremost, we are beekeepers and understand bees. We have been safely and successfully removing and relocating honey bees for a number of years across Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. We are committed to ensuring the survival of bees and protecting colonies and the wider pollinator ecosystem. It's worth remembering that 70% of the world's food supply relies on pollinators.
Honeybees sometimes choose to set up home in a location that creates an unacceptable risk of being stung (this includes pets and livestock too) or is likely to cause damage to a structure. The honey bee sting can be dangerous and very occasionally, they can be aggressive for no obvious reason. Removing honey bees and hive removal requires specialist skills and is exactly what we do. We remove bees from Chimneys, Walls, Roofs, Cladding and any other structure.
Call to speak to our bee experts without obligation.
We complete a comprehensive property survey and discuss the removal process with you.
If all removal criteria can be met, we rehome the bees in our apiary and project manage the entire process.

Swarming happens typically between April and July. The swarm can appear frightening but in reality the bees are highly unlikely to attack or sting unless provoked. They are only interested in following the queen.
Bees colonise a structure after they have swarmed. Swarming is a fundamental part of their survival and ensures new queens evolve.
If bees enter a structure, they are unlikely to leave. They can be left but our experience is not to allow the colony to develop if they are causing a problem or are likely to affect the structure of the building. Bees build comb very quickly in the summer months.
If you considering the removal of honeybees, you will understandably have many questions. We like to develop a relationship with our clients and having a chat is the best way to start.

Yes, bee colonies can be left if they are not causing a risk to you or anyone else. There are a number of properties which have been colonised for years without causing any issues. However, Honey bees can introduce secondary issues to a structure. This includes wet nectar and honey seeping through walls and ceilings, condensation and damp, secondary pests (mites and moths which will enter a property in volume) and odour.
Yes, surprisingly there is no law protecting bees. However, there are strict rules in the use of insecticides including the requirement all access points must be blocked following application. Terminating a colony is not necessarily going to deal with the issue completely. The residual comb will attract more bees, possibly another swarm and secondary pests such a carpet moths and mites, as well as odour and physical damage to the property. Consequently, it's not always the best idea to leave them. Professional and reputable pest control companies will decline to terminate a bee colony without very good reasons to do so.
Every bee removal is unique and doesn’t just fit into a pricing category or can be quoted from a selection of photos. To provide guidance, a bee removal completed at ground level typically costs upwards of £800. Factors that affect costs are access equipment, building works, materials and size/age of the colony.
Yes, of course! and we would be delighted to do so.
The survey is a crucial part of the bee removal process and takes time to complete thoroughly. Bees are no different to us and moving home is stressful. It’s critical that we capture as much information as possible and plan accordingly to ensure the welfare of the bees. We have to work very quickly when the colony is exposed and unforeseen issues that could have been avoided only cause delays and stress to the bees.
The bees are transferred to our quarantine apiary where they are assessed for diseases. Once the bees have passed quarantine and are prospering, they are transferred to one of our apiaries and managed by us. We will always try to give you some honey from your rehomed bees if they are obliging! Some of our colonies are donated to schools.
We undertake bee removals throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire for all types of properties, clients and organisations.
In some cases, yes – we’re able to offer free honey from the relocated hives.
